Some more background, if you’re interested …
I graduated from NYU in 2004 with a B.S. in Communication Studies, spent three years as the director at an educational center in Brooklyn, and then decided to turn my life upside down and go back to school!
I graduated in spring 2010 from a dual degree program with masters degrees in Social Work and Education with a specialization in infant and parent development. I work for a family services agency in East Harlem, visiting new families in their homes to monitor infant/toddler development and provide parenting support.
As for my future career, I like to say that I plan to travel the world saving babies, perhaps as an international adoption social worker/exotic food taster. I’m still not clear on the details, so please send me some suggestions!

hey, I just came across your blog and it’s great! I too live in nyc and want to pursue a career in working with kids
working on that now …
I just love your pictures. They are so great. Fun fun fun. Great recipes and blog.
it’s so great to see another nyc blogger – I’m looking forward to reading your blog!
I can’t believe you have a blog Sarah! That is so cool! I love your close up food pictures. Maybe you should pursue a secondary career in food photography while saving children.
I too love to eat, and we are having a hard time cutting back on the tasty food we love. Perhaps I will find some nuggets of knowledge here in your blog.
Love,
Jessamyn

Hey – do you want to host the BSI recipe contest this week?
Email me at BDL319@gmail.com and let me know!
I thought I would give it to someone who is newer to the blogging world . . .
Your food looks amazing. Your a student and have time to cook meals like that; I am in awe. They all look great. Working really puts a time constraint on things you want to do and cooking is one of those things that takes a hit for me. Hopefully i’ll be able to give one of your recipes a shot sometime.
